Many of you have been
asking, "Why haven't you made a new comic?". Those that haven't have been
asking such questions as "What are you doing here?", "Do you have permission
to be here?" and "Why am I here?".
The comic, as you may have noticed, has not been updated for
a week or so. There are many reasons for this.
My social life has been affected dramatically during the holidays.
For one thing, I bought Akira on DVD. I watched it. And then again. And then
I kinda blacked out, but the next thing I remember is that I can recite word-by-word
both the original and the digitally enhanced edition.
Also, it seems I actually do have friends, and they have been
wanted to see me each day. And when I haven't been with my friends, I've
been living in the real world.
Yes, fans. I have a job.
"Wow, Mr. Crowley! With your art skills and writing skills,
you must have a really fantastic job that I would envy and maybe even kill
you for!"
Sorry, Jimmy. I work in the kitchen of a fast food restaurant,
scrubbing dishes and preparing chicken.
The gang at my work place are an odd bunch. There's CJ, the
friendly guy who keeps talking about sex, his brother Lev, who reminds me
very much of Igor, their father, who I know only as "Dad", who spends his
time telling me what I'm doing wrong, and the Turkish one, who is the only
person I have ever met who communicates by using the words he knows and re-arranging
them into what should be a sentence.
But I'm pleased to inform you that this will change once school
starts.
You see, many things will happen at school. I'll be starting
higher education. That means there's a lot more work to do, and more opportunities
to slack off. Plus there will be a lot more inspiration for future comics
so that bastard Yosh will be able to actually write me some scripts I will
do my hardest not to follow. And, of course, we will be promoting ourselves
to our comrades and fellow peers. Bully.
So, I promise you, the more fans we have, the more frequent
I will be making you pretty pictures and arranging letters to make sentences
for you to find fairly amusing.
